Aladdin | Movie Talk

Had the opportunity to go see the newest addition to Disney movie remakes of this year, Aladdin. Outstanding experience, very entertaining and fun. As a child of the 90’s, I experience so much nostalgia and even got to witness kids and grandparents dancing in the theater room. It is clear that the production skipped some details, but when the movie was as euphoric as it was, there is not much critique. In summary, this Aladdin action/musical was made impeccable and hardly left priority details behind. Yago was annoying as always, Abu was the little rascal we remember him for. Aladdin was charming and funny in a shy way...

Robert Pattinson | Batman

It is almost confirmed, ladies and gents, Robert Pattinson might be our newest Batman. Of course there is a lot of backlash off this news, Robert has been criticized for his new landed role, all because mostly of fans thought the Twilight saga was too cheesy and “gay” so after this, is like people cannot live with the fact that movies are just that, MOVIES. Move on to the fact that actors have no word in how the story of certain movies go, because their job is to deliver the message of the story line. In my personal opinion, Robert Pattinson didn’t just play “Edward” in one movie, but 5 movies of a book saga that was #1 bestseller and written by Stephanie Meyer, who also wrote “The Host” a book that later on was turned into a movie and explains how would love survive in a planet invaded by...

Live-Action Disney’s Gargoyle Movie

And honestly I have nothing more else to say than give some outstanding kudos to Disney, who has honestly taken grand part of this year’s biggest movie franchise. Late, but not last, will come to us soon the life action movie of The Gargoyles *gasp*. You wanna guess who is interested in directing such classic? Hold On… we know him from Get Out, Us, The Twilight Zone; Yes! Is Jordan Peele.  How do you turn down Jordan Peele? Well, you can’t. Who wants to be responsible for that decision? So in the absence of a good reason to say no, but prevented by their Big IP box from saying yes, Disney is slow walking the decision. It’s hoping, it seems, that they’ll run out the clock, he’ll sign other deals elsewhere, and the project will just fade away...

Brightburn

This one makes me really excited! What if  we had a real human with superpowers? Brightburn is not your common superhero movie. Brightburn is a horror movie, example, Superman! What if this little superman receives all the love of a caring mother and family and is all normal? As a mother who can’t conceive, imagine that your prayers are heard and from above is sent a beautiful creature. A baby. So you decide to keep it cause you believe, it is a miracle. Long years of joy pass by as he grows up normally and surrounded by everyone else. Beautiful right? To be the mother of a miracle. Now you are the kid...

White Chicks 2

Surprise! and seems like after some words from Terry Crews, who left the sweet impression of a possible White Chicks comedy sequel. Rumors were all over the place before, but there was never something certain, and is already major news around the media and viewers words. I took some time to simplify the rundown for all of you and fill you up with the tea. On January 2019 in Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen; a viewer asked Terry if he had any updates for the White Chicks sequel rumor. Where Terry expressed assertiveness and excitement about the idea, letting them know he has indeed asked for a prompt action over the smoke. He also expressed he is “staying in shape so we can do that movie”, and Terry, let me tell you, we all up on this gossip...

The Act | A true living nightmare

There is a new movie documentary coming up as a premiere in March 20 via Hulu. “The Act” talks about the terrifying and evil real story of a mother, who made her daughter believe she was critically ill all her life. Gypsy Blanchard (daughter) used a wheelchair, allegedly mentally and physically disabled from a host of ailments, including childhood bout of leukemia, muscular dystrophy, a seizure condition and asthma. Her mother told her friends that Gypsy had a mentality of a 7 year old kid. Dee Dee, her mother was always diligently around her to assist at all times. She guarded Gypsy, not just from the outside world, but also from herself. Dee Dee monitored her daughter at all times, homeschooling her, internet usage, people’s conversations; it was like they both lived inside a bubble...

Will Smith | Serena William’s father

It was announced on March 5 that he may be playing the role of tennis star Serena Williams’ father, Richard Williams, in the forthcoming biopic, King Richard, according to Deadline. We all know that Will Smith is our favorite father. I’ve also read some comments suggesting that Will should create an App called; “Dad-In-A-Box”, for people that need an emergency mentor or motivation. It might be one of the reasons why Mr. Smith was considered for the role, since he is known as a very protective, versatile, and wise father. We were witnesses of this during The Red Table Talk, where Jada Smith had a very personal conversation with Jordyn Woods (Kylie Jenner BF), speaks up over speculations of her, spending some quality time together with Tristan Thompson (NBA Cleveland Cavaliers player, and a...

The New Batman

I’m going to start in a very simple way. IT WAS NOT REPORTED THAT ARMIE HAMMER WILL BE THE NEW BATMAN. In fact, this is STILL rumor brought out by fans excited to know who will it be. Umberto Gonzalez, from the site The Wrap, wrote on twitter; “?@elmayimbe: Armie Hammer. Batman. Not true.” This site is known to make legit reports of this matters. It is still yet to know who will be the new Batman. Truth is, there is a lot of actors very interested in the role after Ben Affleck announced he was no longer The Batman, after a handful of years playing the smart, multimillionaire character. Warner Bros. reported that director/writer Matt Reeves, will launch The Batman in 2021.

Bird Box

It’s been a while since Bird Box premiered on Netflix but, is also the fourth time I’ve seen the film, when I finally decided to make a post about it. Bird Box is a horror/drama/suspense about an ominous unseen presence that drives most of society to suicide. After 5 years, a mother and her two children make a desperate bid to reach for safety. Based on Josh Malerman novel Bird Box. Seemed for me like the people on their last day, had to face their darkest desires or darkest fears, which led them to commit suicide later under the control of their visions...

Velvet Buzzsaw

The trailers are creepy enough to draw you into the mystery of art and its bizarre colors and shapes. Never have I seen something like this, an art horror movie? As someone crazy in love with galleries, paintings and the way it encrusts inside ones soul, I was impressed by such an idea to bring to life the sentiment of the art of painting. That’s what Velvet Buzzsaw offers us in the new horror Netflix original film directed by Dan Gilroy. As of part of the cast we can appreciate Jake Gillenhaal as “Morf” and Zawe Ashton as “Josephina”. In my opinion, very original, not so scary, did’t like the ending but the movie itself keeps you wondering what is going to happen next. I believe is the first time I see Gillenhaan acting as prestigious effeminate art critique...
